Genesis in Only Two Tries

In the beginning there was the Kitty Goddess, floating around in space, sleeping, chasing comets, and sleeping some more. She realized that she was very lonely and would like to have more kitty friends, so she decided to create a perfect world for cats. She made this pretty planet with rolling green meadows filled with flowers and butterflies, with fairytale beautiful forests full of squirrels to chase. She made lots of places to hide and jump out of, and lots of tall places to jump off of. The sun shone down on this perfect kitten world, making the maximum amount of nap space.

The Kitties could easily feed themselves because the rivers and oceans ran with milk, and were full of slow moving fish. Life was wonderful and perfect for at least a day. There are some things you don't think about when you are an all powerful Goddess, like the effects of warm sun beating down on rivers of milk. The milk soured and the fish died on the second day. On the third day, the Kitties cried out to the Kitty Goddess, "Hey, it smells funny down here," and she took pity on them. So she gathered them all up and let them play bouncing around in space while she fixed the world.

This time she made the rivers and oceans of water, and commanded that the Kitties always to hate and fear water to remember the first world, and the mistakes that could be made. She created humans to feed and care for the Kitties. And while this world was not so perfect, it did smell better.
